Hello!

Hello Everyone!

Let's start at the begining.  I have been baking for a couple years now.  I am no pro by any means.  I took 2 Wilton classes at Michaels and loved it.  I have been getting more into baking lately.  I have been making cakes, cupcakes and recently have started cake pops.  I like doing this as a hobby.  I am not ready to take it to the next level yet.  I still have so much to learn!

I thought this would be a fun way to share my works with everyone.  I will post some pictures and even try to attempt making some videos so you can try some things at home too :)  I get asked how to do certain things by people and thought they would be more likely to try it if they see it done.  I am a very visual person and would rather watch someone do something than read about it. So we will see what happens.

I will try and post every week or two.  It all depends on how busy I am with cakes.  This spring I have a lot already.  Plus I am excited to do my second wedding cake for a dear friend in July so you can see the process behind that.

This past week I was asked to help with a fundraiser at work.  It was for Team in Training for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  I made the above Ice Cream Cones and Cake pops for them.  I first made 40 cones and they sold out in four hours!  She then asked me to make twice the amount for that following week.  Boy, that was very overwhelming!  It took many hours.  I finished them and they just sold the last of them.  Everyone really enjoyed them.  I think they are such a hit because it is something different than your normal cake or cupcake.  Plus, a lot of parents liked the idea for their kid's birthday party.  So, we will see what happens in the future with the cake pops.  I am gettting better with each time I do them.

Have a good rest of the weekend!
